TERYL'S PANEL

Everyone was wondering how Teryl would do @ 10 am... since everyone else was beat. Teryl arrived with a large (scuzi... venti!) coffee in hand, took her jacket off, slipped off her shoes and started the panel. She was quick and VERY funny.

When asked about a bad day at shooting, Teryl spoke about playing an officer in a movie, how she tried to look cool when she had to make it look like she was ready to fire a gun. Her thumb hurt hard in the end, coz she couldn't make the darn thing work. (The pic wasn't named, but I think it was the movie called The Surgeon.)

She also told us about an incident with RDA and a needle early on in season one. Janet was supposed to take Jack's blood - Teryl doesn't like props and even though they had a fake arm above RDA's, she managed to get the needle into the real thing. They ended up using footage shot using one of the on set medics drawing the blood.

She told us how the guys always want to have their scripts at hand. Sometimes they'd look at lines and say "This is more like a Sam-line" so they give lines to Amanda. She said Janet and Sam use the big words on the show.

She told us about how her attempts at getting into character are often disturbed by RDA, who plays hockey with peanuts and finds it funny to shoot at people. RDA is a big sprts & hockey fan.

Of course the table has to be cleaned before they start shooting, a poor guy has to come in to wipe the surface off. Chris Judge like to crush the hockey peanuts.

This is how RDA acts around pretty guest stars, all galant and caring, and his chest puffed out... while Amanda and herself freeze their butt off.

Teryl gave a very good impression of how Amanda and herself act around handsome guest stars, like the guy from 2010... they're vvery shy and giggle a lot. LOL

When someone asked about practical jokes, she told the following story: Janet was supposed to run inot the gate room, there was some sort of emergency (sorry, no ep title). So she was getting into character in the corridor, trying to make it look like she was running by the time she got into the line of the camera. Janet's wearing her lab coat of course. She hears "Action" starts running, but nothing happens. Turns out Chris Judge went up behind her and grabbed her coat. She kept hearing the director yelling "Teryl, action!"

She had input on Heimdall and Freyer's character in the season 5 finale, Revelations. It was her idea to make Heimdall, or how they called him/her "Heimey", the younger and more enthusiastic one. Brad Wright loved that idea.

They asked her to do the voice of the two Asgard and also to be present when they shot the ep, even though her character was CGI, they wanted someone there to interact with the actors. So they dressed her into a black latex suit. Since Heimdall is shorter than Teryl, the actors, epecially RDA and Chris kept compaling that they cannot interact with the character, beacuse they don't know where the eyes are. So they put Heimey's face on the shirts front and they attached two red light where his eyes were supposed to be. The position of the lights caused RDA and Chris to make very naughty oneliners for about 15 minutes. (Sadly, Don Davis missed the whole incident.)

Teryl also told about some polaroid they took with her, Amanda and the ancient Asgard... demand to see the photos when you see her at a con. They're supposed to be naughty and VERY funny. She didn't have them with her.

Teryl shows off her pants. The back says "BRAT". She joked about how it'll end up on the Hungarian Stargate Page. Yep, here they are.

Teryl discussing the meal she had the previous night with one of the folks in the audience.

Teryl said that so far she has been in 9 episodes they shot this year.

She said she prefers the episodes where Janet goes off world, like in the skinny white people ep. 8o)

Teryl said the set hasn't changed much since Michael Shanks' departure. Everyone misses him, but they socialize with him.

Corin Nemec fits in very nicely. He may not be as goofy as they are, but he's getting there.

She said she'd love to come back next year to DC. Everyone agreed she'll have to be there.

She joked about a picture I took of her the day earlier at the X-Files panel, but then she demonstrated the image I took of her, so I am guessing the image will be out there. LOL.

I am sure I left out loads of stuff, you can e-mail me with your reports. I'll gladly add them here.
