DRAGONCON 2002 | STARGATE SG-1 GUEST STARS PANEL | TERYL'S PANEL
August 30-September 2 | Atlanta, Georgia, USA
PANEL OF THE X-FILES GUEST STARS
Teryl Rothery, Peter Williams, Judson Scott
September 01, 2002Teryl appeared in Excelsis Dei a the main guestie. Her character was supposed to have a scene with her lesbian lover in the beginning of the ep, but was the scene was cut. Teryl describes the character as a hag.
In her first scene she is raped by ghosts. It was an exhausting scene, as she had to make it look like someone is throwing her around. She did great, but ended up with bruises.
In a later scene Teryl and DavidD were in a shower stall kinda thing, this was supposed to be the scene where their caharcters get trapped in the shower and Scully rescues the. They were in warm water and they didn't want to get out of it, DD kept cracking her up and in the end he put candy bars into the water that looked like turds. LOL
Judson Scott was in three episodes in the final season, playing an alien cultist. He spoke about his bit and then he spoke about Star Trek II. She talked about Bill Shatner and Ricardo Montalban. VERY funny.
Judson Scott said that on the X-Files he insisted on doing his own stunts, being a champion surfer, big macho guy and all. He had to keep running from a train again anad again... he could hardly walk the next few scenes.
Peter Williams was in Kill Switch written by William Gibson. He played a drug dealer named Jackson, who gets killed off in the teaser. He only had 6 lines, but it was a terrific experience for him, since being a Canadian actor, not being on XF would have been a shame.
All three spoke about auditioning 6-7 times for the X-Files, and how frustrating it was to go in and not getting a part. They all thought they failed and by the 4th time they started shaking and felt really bad about themselves.
It was funny how these three started talking about themselves while the audience sat there quietly and listened. At one point Teryl looked up and asked if we were bored, but all told them to just go back and talk amongst themselves.
They all spoke of their crying scenes. Judson Scott had his with Gillian Anderson. After they did her takes, she stayed while they were doing his shots. They said it was really unusual for the star to stay for her off lines. They all hailed GA for her brilliance.
Peter Williams had a crying scene in Soul Survivor, a movie directed by his brother. He thought about his brother dying, since he couldn't think of his children... she was crying really hard, was on the floor, when heard his brother saying "Start rolling".
Teryl explained how bad she is with her crying scenes, and how she cannot do the Demi Moore, one tear thing. She went into details and I happily took pics. (I had to delete one after Teryl asked me to, since she looked kinda funny. The next day Teryl demonstrated the visual to another audience, who I'm sure took pics... Go look up their's. (VBEG)
Peter talked about MacGyver, and how the Greenburg-Anderson duo are really loyal, they keep calling people back they already worked with.
All in all, the three of them were happy to have gotten to be on the same panel, Judson Scott commented that he was glad to have meet two intelligent actors to chat with.
